The Quranic Abraham or is it Ibrahim! Surat al-Baqara 124 Are Muslims editing the Quran and Tafasir al-Quran?Part two

al-Qurtubi in his tafsir explains the reason "why the name Ibrahim is written as Abraham in Q2:124 (and 15 other verses)" as follows:

وإبراهيم تفسيره بالسريانية

And Ibrahim is (explained) from Syriac! (read this as Abrahim is a loan word from Syriac!)

This does not make sense because in Syriac it is Abraham and not Ibrahim

The only explanation is Muslims are editing embarrassing verses not just in the Qur'an but also in Tafsir al-Qur'an

And the above sentence should have been

وابراهام تفسيره بالسريانية

Or: And Abraham is (explained) from Syriac (read this as Abraham is a loan word from Syriac)
