The latest drivel from Muslim apologists? Muhammad says don't cut trees! Oh Allah? He seems to say: Muslims can cut treesReader comment on item: Study the Koran? Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), May 6, 2018 at 07:13 Dr Pipes Muslim apologists tell us that the Qur'an is a book of science Examples? the "amazing" Allah's embryology! Oh and the "big bang" theory is mentioned in the Qur'an. And the Qur'an does not say that the earth is flat (which is not true) However, the word Dahaha in Qur'an 79:30 really means the egg of an ostrich (which is a blatant lie) This time apologists of Islam tell us about Muhammad really cares about the environment and this is from a famous hadith attributed to Muhammad and it is: "اغزوا بسم الله في سبيل الله من كفر بالله ولا تغدروا.. ولا تقطعوا نخلا ولا شجرة ولا تهدموا بناء" Which can be rendered as: Invade in the name of Allah, and in the cause of Allah, those who do not believe in Allah and do not leave and do not cut a palm tree or (any other) tree and do not destroy buildings! et voila Muhammad who cares about the environment is the latest buzz among Muslim apologists However, if we turn to Qur'an 59:5 we will find the following: مَا قَطَعْتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَىٰ أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ Which can be rendered as: If you cut a Lina (this word has no clear meaning but it was read by al-Tabari as Palm tree) or you left it standing (uncut) including its root then it is done by Allah's permission! This clearly means that Allah is saying that Muslims can cut trees and Allah does not mind. So should we believe Muhammad the "environmentalist" or should we believe Allah? I believe that Muslims don't read their books! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
