Study the Qur'anReader comment on item: Study the Koran? Submitted by AZ (United States), Jan 24, 2004 at 14:52 Study of of the Qur'an and not just reading is what people need to do, study. Now there are a groups of people who are the victims of oppression or who have witnessed oppression. There has not been any reciprocity by the world courts for many of these outragous acts and the result is contempt. Oppression breeds contempt, contempt for life itself. Children, women, men, the Earth are victims of this contempt and oppression. Perpetuation of this oppression breeds fanatisim, intolerance and hate. While Americans look for causes for abhorant behavior the reasons, causes and such; study history. Study how many lives were destroyed for the wealth these great nations and how we benefit from the sacrifices of many. I am in no way justifying violence or the acts of violence, nor are these acts of violence going to correct any wrongs present or past. But the Qur'an is not the reason for these actions any more than the Bible. The Bible has been used and still used for the justification of KKK, slavery, domination of women, genocide of Native Americans, the rape of African & South American resources and the existence other hate groups to numerous to mention here. We need to be honest about events for our own posterity, and not for political policy or economic beniefit.
