Submitted by Prashant (United States), Feb 8, 2022 at 22:20 Dear Dr Pipes, when I read the ideas mentioned in the Quran, they do not look very well formed or intellectually advanced to me. In fact, I can easily see that after spending a few years in the company of the Jews, Christian, and pagans of the then Arabia, a reasonably intelligent person -literate or otherwise- can construct a book like Quran. As always, whether Muhammad was a real person or a real group of people, should not be a major concern of non-muslims. What should be our concern is that a lot of quran's content is selfish and cruel.
