the wisdom guided study of the koranReader comment on item: Study the Koran? Submitted by prakash christie (New Zealand), Dec 22, 2006 at 18:09 Reading the Koran , in my opinion, in itself , is not wrong, but reading the Koran in the form of unquided studies is.Iff a person wish's to honour the wisdom of the Koran, one must do so from a inlightened stance. In order to do this, one must willingly accept being taught what it is meant to not only to read the Koran, but also what it is like to be a Muslim. I myself come from a Muslim/Hindu background and have seen the most stupid things done by Europeans simply because of one thing IF nothing else and that is they did not listern to what was being said by those who beling to the Muslim/Hindu communite. In doing so untold offence/harm has been done by simply not shutting their mouths and listening to the simple pearls of wisdom being givern. I know of one male medic here in New Zeland, who failed to listen to what a fellow member of the Muslim/Hindu commumitte had to say about cross gender treatment and as a result of what went down,it caused a heck off alot of damage, resulting in sudstandard medical treatment. Iff you are not willing to accept guidance, you are doomed to make the same mistakes.
