Faith Worth Living For - Believing Worth Dying For - The Wonder of Islam Does Not Replace the Love of Yeshua HaMashiachReader comment on item: Counting Islamists Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 28, 2008 at 18:54 If it may be permitted, here is an interjection on the discourse of the concept of faith. Presuming that you know well this reader is a disciple of Yeshua HaMashiach, it should be no surprise that of faith, perhaps the follower of Yeshua has that very attribute as the central basis for a relationship with Yeshua HaMashiach because of its requirement at His WORD. Faith in Yeshua HaMashiach gives the disciple that ability to trust in Him and His Word found in the Holy Bible. Faith, as a concept, may be described as a spiritual application of the mind(heart) to search out and establish a relationship outside the normal realm of existence with an entity, person or (yes) a thing. In the application of faith in the religious context, this relationship is established with a belief in a deity. But faith is an extra measure to belief; for belief may only acknowledge the existence while faith requires the extra measure of trust. One may have knowledge in any deity, but faith is required to establish what the mind and heart is willing to believe, whether in Yeshua HaMashiach as prescribed by the Holy Bible, or in the Deity of the Quran as prescribed by the Islamic Prophet, or in whatever description one may have in a supreme being based on whatever source. Faith in Yeshua HaMashiach is required to experience the salvation described in the Holy Bible. It is central and necessary, that without it the relationship many claim to have with Him is void and spiritually useless. It is why so many who have claimed to ‘believe' in Him fall away and seek out other spiritual connections for the resulting emptiness. It is sometimes those in that capacity who have not sought out the truth of Yeshua HaMashiach which immerse themselves to do what they think is Almighty God's bidding, even to the slaughter of innocents, only to find out in the time of judgment, they have failed and eternity without Yeshua in their lives results. It is those types of empty lives that mental derangement may find a home. It is the contention here, that having found your peace in Islam at an early age, means that it is well formed and intelligently pursued (there are enough citations in your earlier post to bear that conclusion), and that there can be no human argument that will dissuade it. Conversely, when faced with the faith of a true disciple of Yeshua HaMashiach, understand that a greater power is resident in the heart and mind of that true believer, and that the Holy Bible is the lightning rod to the great source of spiritual power provided by the Holy Spirit. The love that it is generated from that relationship cannot be broken, only abused by unbelieving mortals who have not understood Who Yeshua HaMashiach really is. That is the basis of true spiritual awareness in a faithful disciple of the Son of Almighty God, the Savior Anointed, whose return to Israel is imminent according to the fulfillment of the Holy Bible. That you are a follower of the Islamic Prophet is attested completely, and as mentioned before with the knowledge that comes from youth. Knowledge that is retained from youth is the most embedded, and the most difficult to overcome if the dreams of youth are discarded or destroyed. From that perspective, irrespective of the potential Biblical influences you may have had in your early life, the witness was insufficient to become the basis of faith by the time your decision was made to search out Islam. Your title question, (‘is it possible that you are Muslim because Islam is wonderful?') comes from that being instilled in youth while such things can provide such wonder, and yet it provokes this question from one who has seen greater wonders in the execution of the words found in the Holy Bible. If Islam does provide such wonder that is held in more honor by Muslims following in the Quran, how has it not conquered the hearts of the millions who chose faith in the love of Yeshua HaMashiach, and died in believing in that love of Yeshua HaMashiach in preference to following Islam?
