Clear Biblical Prophecy of who Jesus is etc"Reader comment on item: Counting Islamists Submitted by Lactantius Jr (United Kingdom), Nov 10, 2008 at 10:58 To Masood "Are Jewish brothers reading the same words?" you ask Here is what my friend, the Jewish believer in Jesus said about Isaiah 53:1-12 "Yes, the Hebrew Scriptures contain Isaiah in full. The passage is read every Yom Kippur morning (The Day of Atonement) in every Synagogue around the world. One of the oldest Jewish translations of the Bible is called the Targum Yonatan; it has notes explaining the text. The notes in Isaiah 53 say clearly that the "servant" is the Messiah! Rabbi Moses ben Maimon (otherwise called Maimonides or the Rambam) says that the passage refers to the Messiah, as does the Holy Zohar, (a work considered by some Jews as Judaism's third most holy book), and the Midrash Ruth Rabbah (an interpretation of the book of Ruth in the Bible). One Jewish man who started reading the Bible to find out who the Messiah was, was Stan Telchin, and Stan did this because his daughter Judy, at University in Boston, ‘phoned home to say she had accepted Jesus was the Messiah, and so, to "prove" to Judy she was wrong, he started reading the Bible, but in doing so, he discovered for himself that Jesus really was the Messiah, and so, in 1975, he accepted Jesus as his Messiah and entered into life in Jesus Name. The final chapters of Stan's book "Betrayed," are concerned with the question of Jewish identity and faith in Jesus. The following quote is noteworthy: "How do I explain the last 2,000 years? I cannot. But I know this, the real issue is not the secular history of this period. Nor is it the ‘Jewishness' of those who believe. The real issue is Jesus. Is He or is He not God's anointed? Is He who He says He is? Is He or is He not the Messiah? "God is! The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is. The Messiah is. Jesus is the Messiah. Oh, the freedom that wells up within me. I need not dance to the old drumbeats of ‘custom' or of ‘tradition', or of ‘old hatred' or the ‘fear'. My God reigns! And in Him I live and move and have my being ... This is the good news that awaits all who seek to find and know God!" (p.119). taken from "Betrayed" at http://www.shalom.org.uk/Testimonies/Betrayed!.htm You mention what Jehovah's Winesses "taught me that JESUS is the first born and was told by GOD to every messanger and prophet," and the most important thing to know about Jehovah's Wintesses is that they are not Christians, and that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society Inc.of Brooklyn NY. claims to be God's prophet on earth, Is the Watchtower Jehova's channel and Jehova's messenger today? What does the Watchtower organisation claim for itself?' "……………….So does Jehova have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come? These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is the prophet?...............This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep-followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible students. Today they are known as Jehova's Christian witnesses. They are still proclaiming a warning, and have been joined and assisted in their commissioned work by hundreds of thousands of persons who have listened to their message with belief. Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a "prophet" of God. It is another thing to prove it. The only way that this can be done is to review the record. What does it show?..............and since no word or work of Jehova can fail, for he is God Almighty, the nations will see the fulfilment of what these witnesses say as directed from heaven. Yes, the time must come shortly that the nations will have to know that really a "prophet" of Jehova was among them…………………." The Watchtower April 1st 1972 When the record is reveiewed, it can readily be seen that every single prophecy the Watchtower organisation have ever made is a false prophecy, it hasn't happened or come to pass. The Watchtower organisation have a 100% record of false prophecies, and I can supply further details if required. The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society Inc of Brooklyn NY is a false prophet Masood, do not listen to them. You ask "why priests in 325AD were debating about the status of Jesus, to come to the conclusion that they should accept Jesus as fully God," asking whether they "had not been told clearly by Jesus," also asking why God "forgot to tell about His tri nature to all prophets and messengers." The Counci of Nicea held in 325 AD was attended by some 300 bishops from all around the world, and it was called to deal with the Arian heresy about the nature of Jesus Christ, Arius being a pastor in Alexandria. The Council of Nicea formulated the Nicene Creed which clearly stated the nature of Jesus Christ, doctrine that was entirely Scriptural and Apostolic, and fully in agreement with what Jesus Himself said about His nature and identity. http://www.columbia.edu/cu/augustine/arch/sbrandt/nicea.htm The first and most important thing to know about God, is that we can only know of Him what He graciously chooses to reveal of Himself, otherwise we can know absolutely nothing about Him, and He did not "forgot to tell about His tri nature to all prophets and messengers," the clear testimony of the Bible revealing God's Unity in tri-Unity, ie. His Trinitarian nature of one God in three Persons, and since it is most often (although not only) Muslims, who deny the Trinity, I refer to an Internet publication titled "An Explanation of the Trinity for Muslims" by Gerry Redman at, http://debate.org.uk/topics/theo/trinity.htm I'll finish Masood, by commenting on the anti-Semitism the Christian Church down the centuries has shown towards Jews, saying that it is shameful, and contrary to the teaching of Jesus Christ the Messiah. The Christian Church has persecuted Jews down the centuries, despite Jesus and His early followers all being Jewish, and for the last 2,000 years, Christianity has been regarded by Jews as a religion for non-Jews, but in the last few years in Israel, something has started happening. Ten years ago there were only about 3,500 Jewish believers in Jesus, there are now thought to be between 10,000 and 15,000 and the numbers are increasing all the time. "Israel's Messianic Jews, Some Call It a Miracle" CBNnews.com July 22nd.2008 http://www.cbn.com/CBNnews/407139.aspx And I pray that this acceptance of Jesus, the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53 will continue and increase, as Jews come to see He is indeed their promised Messiah.
