How wrong that statement is. For your statement contains no scientific facts and so according to your own statement then it is illogical. And you have it the wrong way. Logic and reasoning is the foundation of science not vice versa. You are using circular reasoning which begs the question. Logic is based upon faith. You cannot explain logic (for that would also be begging the question) and our logical standards rest on absolute principles. We accept logic because we have faith that it's well... logical. But I am in agreement that we should use logic and reason. Whenever a non believer questions the fallacy of your beliefs you reply that God's ways are mysterious, We cannot comprehend. Regarding time there is no mention in the Genesis because the concept of Time arrived much later. So you cannot answer what is before the Creation. If time is not there then God created all the universe in ZERO time meaning it all appeared all of a certain. Sorry, that is not a good answer at all. But when you ask me to exhaustively explain how God works with Time then I cannot explain that. The concept of time is still irrelevant. However, time is mentioned when it states that there is a BEGINNING. Bur the creation happens day by day. So before the first day whether there was a Night? If no time is there how can there be night? The same contradiction happens after the Judgement day. The whole universe becomes nothingness and time collapses and the Sinners are bifurcated into heaven/Hell according to the Grace of the God. Apparently the first day was called a day because it was the first period of light. At one point of time you tell that time continues means the Universe continues but the souls are in an eternal Heaven / eternal Hell. If we negate such a concept also there will not be any problem since it is very vague and abstract concept where you cannot define these in concrete terms. It continues for all time is what I said I thought -_-. Further in the Genesis it is mentioned that first day the light is created and Sun is created on the fourth See other posts. Errors in the Creation Aside from the obvious contradictions, there are just a lot of things in this short section of the Bible that just doesn't make sense. In Genesis 1:1 it says "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.", then later on in Genesis 1:8Heaven." So did he create heaven twice? Are there two heavens? I thought maybe the first statement was just saying what God did, then it was going to explain in detail how he created heaven and earth... but in Genesis 1:2 the earth has already been created. So I have to believe that there was a double creation of heaven. it says "And God called the firmament Hebrew conception of heaven is divided into three layers. "Sky, space, God's throne" On the first day, God created light. No problem there, right? But God didn't create any sources of light until the forth day. So did he only invent the concept of light on the first day, but no light was around until the forth day? If he had light, as well as darkness, and light and day... then why did he have to make the sun, moon, and stars? No matter how you look at the subject of light during the creation, it just doesn't add up. God is a source of light. Also we could take the day-age method and say he created the sun. The fourth day if you recall could have been the day that the sun was visible from the earth. Sunlight brings us to another problem. We know the sun was created on the forth day... but plants were created on the third day. We know plants require sunlight to live, so why did God make these things in this backwards order? Now if we take the literal time frame, and a day in creation as being a 24 hour period, the plant thing isn't a real problem... plants can survive 24 hours. But then the whole creation story loses credibility... who really believes the universe was created in less than a week? Not even most creationist believe this one. That is why many people say that a day in the creation was 1,000 to 7,000 years (depending on who you ask). Name a plant that can live 7,000 years with perfect conditions... much less with no sunlight. See other posts ^_^. Actually I think we are wasting our time in discussing the Concepts of Free Gift, Sin, Hell, Heaven, Judgement Day etc., etc., Your incomprehensible God creates Human beings then check whether they believe in him or not then threatens them with Hell after judging for Grace then put them in eternal Hell/Heaven for infinite/eternal time. You will argue that Gods' methods are incomprehensible. but part of the stories are comprehensible while some part incomprehensible. We are able to comprehend some of God but not all of him. Some matters remain incomprehensible but others do not. It provides the reason the inquester to Reject the Whole story. Regards, Shri Devi.
