To AkbarReader comment on item: A Christian Boom Submitted by Susan (Canada), Nov 26, 2006 at 19:53 Submitted by Akbar, Nov 23, 2006 at 22:35 I did not say that Jesus was crucified. I only quoted from your Bible, then I intrepreted to the actual meaning. Jesus was not crucified as an individual, only his mission. Prophet Muhammad brought Jesus mission back. That is why he is the "return of the Christ". Most of the things I post are over the head of many people, so that is why I do not post as much anymore. If people want to stay ignorant there is nothing I can do about that. This is what I previously said: So they crucified him, meaning they changed his doctine from it's purity to something else. The Bible talks about this, but you have to understand the symbols to get the hidden message. This is the end of my post to you. peace Thanks for your comment. It does give me some understanding of your thought process. However the whole concept is quite strange and contradictory to anything that God thought us through Old and New Testaments. Isn't it strange to you that before Mohammed came all prophets were in sync, consistent, talking about the same stuff, and than suddenly somebody came and said that he is the only one who is right and all other mesgs were corrupted? Jews were very well organized people and they kept quite good records of their history. So it is unlikely that they would have wrong facts about it. Especially if they also recorded whatever would portray their "heroes" in a negative way without gaining any profit by portraying them that way. Also all the previous prophets in the Bible produced a proof of their profethood other than their writings. And that was considered as a basis for their profethood. However Mohammed said that his writing was the proof and that is was sufficient, effectively eliminating any possibility to get an independed source of accountability. He also switched around historical facts, even for relatively newer historical times. It is interesting to see that he personally and also his nation are the ones to benefit from all these changes. I have studied some business courses and they teach about controls you have to implement in a company to ensure that there is no fraud. However Mohammed eliminated any check and balances in Quran that were in place in the Bible saying do not listen to anybody and anything just to me - why ? because I am right and if you do not listen, you will go to hell. (Yes also Jews and Christinas will go to hell, at least some of them, according to Quran and contraty to other posts on this msg board). Jesus came to complete the old testament. In the old testament there was an animal sacrifice. In the new testament he become an ultimate sacrifice, he gave his own life for us (his body). What did Mohammed do? Jesus also criticized formal procedures. However Mohammed came and said that more formal procedures were needed. God does not need formal procedures like prostration and cleaning ourselves in a special way to count for us as good deeds, he wants us to love him and trust in him and that is a matter of our hart sand not ceremonies. If you have God in your hart you pray all the time and you make your life decisions based on the Lords word, constantly verifying what you do against what he told us and thought us as being right and wrong. Isn't that more important? God gave us 10 commandments and asked us to obey them not to please him but to have order in life so we can live peacefully and because sinful life separates us from closeness with God. God knows what is good for us! But we can not earn our salvation by doing deeds. Whatever we do we always will and up doing something wrong due to our sinful nature. But we can ask the Lord Jesus Christ to cover our sins. Why? Because Lord Jesus was the only person on this Earth who did not sin, therefore he was able to sacrifice his body on the cross for our sins and his sacrifice was accepted by God. What makes Mohammed being able to ask God for forgiveness of your sins? He was the same sinner as everybody else. No difference between him and anybody else. What makes you thing that he can do it? Ask yourself if you really want Mohammed to be the one whom you turn to on the Judgment day. Please be honest to yourself and read the Bible and try to understand it as I try to read and understand Quran I will pray for you.
