Concerning Your Prophecy of MuhammedReader comment on item: A Christian Boom Submitted by Servant of Christ (United States), Sep 27, 2006 at 18:29 Moses said a prophet will come from your brothers. Ishmael was the brother of Jacob if i am correct. and also the forefather of Muhammad(pbuh). Again, like in my previous post, Ishmael was NOT the brother of Jacob. Moses said, He will be like me. lets analyse this, Moses had a mother and father, Jesus had NO FATHER. he was born WITHOUT the intervention of sperm, and mary gave birth just like God ordered her to. (in quran chapter MARY).Jesus was NOT married. had NO children. Moses had children and was married. Moses died a natural death, Jesus was crucified according to the bible and your belief. In fact the ONLY fact that priests say that Jesus is the prophet talked about by Moses is that He was JEWISH. however there was many other prophets that were jewish such as aaron, David. why are they not divine. Now, you're abusing the definition of the Messiah. If you accept the Torah, you must accept the Messiah. The Messiah must be born of the virgin, die for humanity (non-natural death), and etc. So that refutes basically everything above. But I did manage to find your verse (please cite next time). Deuteronomy 18:15- The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him". Among your own brothers, hence, like I said, within the twelve tribes. Deuteronomy 18:18- I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him." So the Lord was talking TO Moses and the prophet was going to be among the twelve brothers. Now lets compare Moses and Jesus (of course Jesus was greater). Moses renewed the covenant. Jesus gave the New Covenant. Moses unlocked the shackles of Egypt, Jesus unlocked the shackles of sin. As Moses used miracles to show that he served the true God, so Jesus did to show that He was the Son (thus God). Moses gave the Israelites manna and water (from the rock). Jesus WAS the Living Bread and the Living Water. Both were Jewish. Moses gave the law, Jesus told the people how to follow it (through relying on God, not on yourself). Moses served God, the Trinity, because he believed in a composite God. Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:8 The word 'one' in Hebrew is echad, meaning composite, like when man and woman became 'one' (echad). The word for absolute unity is yachid Now, I don't think Islam supports the Trinity nor a composite God. now lets compare Muhammad(saw) with Moses. This was a comparison between Muhammed and Jesus made by someone else, I am merely quoting him: And it boils down to this; if we compare the character of Jesus and the character of Muhammad ... we have a saint and a devil. Muhammad stoned to death a poor dejected single mother and took her child off her. Jesus forgave an adulterous woman and told the would-be stoners to look at their own sin. Muhammad killed and tortured people. He sanctioned and ordered limb choppings, eye gouging and other henious inhumane deeds. Jesus healed people everywhere he went. Muhammad raped women. Jesus treated women as equals, despite customary laws about speaking to women. Muhammad had sex with a little 9 year old girl Jesus was celibate Muhammad cursed people Jesus forgave even those who persecuted him Muhammad's last words were "I curse the Jews and Christians" Jesus's last words included: "Father forgive them; they know not what they do" Muhammad kept many wives and concubines and had sex with slaves. Jesus preached that any more than one wife was adultery. Muhammad said women were deficient in intelligence Jesus had many women disciples. When Muhammad's disciples expressed their concern for the safety children of a town they had been told to raid, kill and conquer, Muhammad said; "They are from them." Jesus blessed children and said that anyone who hurts a child is better to have a millstone around his neck and be thrown into the sea. Muhammad was cruel Jesus was kind Muhammad taught hatred Jesus taught love Muhammad was a conquerer and a conartist Jesus was the Saviour for all mankind (this is also a comment towards Altamash who insisted that the Bible was corrupted because it exposes sins while Muhammed actually does some of the sins) He had a FATHER and MOTHER. he was not rejected by his people. he had wives, and children. and he died a normal death. and came from "your brothers" (the brothers of the jews, the palestinians) from Ishmael , forefather of palestinians. brother of Jacob. so who is more like Moses, Muhammad(saw) or Jesus? Again, you left out the definition of Messiah and the thing that sets him apart from man.
