Qutub minar was built on a temple complex

Dear Dr Pipes, I admire your reader Mr Hamza for being able to have a decent discussion on Islam. He is a rarity.

In his above message Hamza tried to inform me that Delhi's Qutub Minar was built by Muslims. Surely. But, Mr Hamza is ignorant that it was built on a Hindu/Jain temple complex. Interestingly, I learnt of this fact first from no one other than Dr Pipes (Ref1). I also recommend that Mr Hamza reads the Wikipedia article on this topic (ref 2).
Also, Hamza Sir would like to read about the Iron pillar at the site of Qutub Minar. This pillar was synthesized before Muhammad was even born. Stones might lie but Iron does not.
