There are 'no own people' for Muslims.

Dear Dr Pipes, In the above message DNM asks Muslims to learn the history of 'their own people'. Muslim readers and religious scholars should confirm or deny it but I think in Islam there is no concept of 'your own people'. Islam is the onlr right thing and every other group of people is wrong and disowned. If I recall correctly, Islam encourages effective disowning one's own parents if they oppose a person's conversion to Islam.
