The reactions of the leaders of the free world - with the exception so far of the United States and lately of the UK - are not in proportion with the dangers involved. Not only has Israel been attacked by a terrorist group in a blatant violation of its borders but also, the world is demanding now a cessation of hostilities from the part of Israel.
Need one remind the media and the politicians of their deafening silence as to other areas of conflct - Iraq, Darfur, Rwanda? It is obvious that only when Israel has to defend itself (the Sinai, the 6-day, the Yom Kippur, the Intifada wars and now Lebanon) everyone asks for a cease fire, thus prolonging the conflict needlessly.
For once let Israel be the vanguard of the free world and show the terrorists that they will not have their way.
