Dear readers: the followers of al-Ahmadiyya the likes of our dear Matthew al-tablighee are not aware that we read their books albeit in sanitized English translations and here is a link to al-Ahmadiyya explanation of why their copy of the Qur'an is different.
https://www.alislam.org/articles/why-is-bismillahir-rahmanir-raheem-counted-as-first-verse/
So in the case of Surat al-Baqara (not the gobbledygook Surah Baqarah) al-Ahmadiyya Mullahs count the Basmala as the first verse. And in this case the second verse will be the first first in the Warsh and Hafs Qur'ans. Did you get it our dear Matthew al-Tablighee? This means that the Ahmadiyya Qur'an is a corrupted book by the standards of both Sunni and Shi'a Islam. What a disaster.
More disasters? It seems that the Basmala was a later addition in 113 chapters of the Quranic text and we are told that this is why it is not counted as a verse except in Surat al-Fatiha!
Much more disasters? The numbers of the various verses of the Qur'an is a much later addition to the text and the names of the chapters were not known or stable when al-Tabari wrote his Tafsir.
So Surat alam Tara becomes Surat al-Feel as attested by al-Tabari.
More disasters? Your Arab masters do not even use the number system of the verses when quoting a Quranic verse. Example? instead of saying: Quran 112:1 an Arabic speaking Muslim would only refer to Surat al-Ikhlas qul Huwa Allahu Ahad.
Now comedy time:
