Seems like USA has hung itself out to dry in Iraq.
You think? I don't.
1. We've given the people of Iraq a chance to govern themselves. A chance, for the taking, of freedom. We owe that to them after getting rid of the tyrant.
2. We've attracted terrorists from the region at a place where, unlike in the Twin Towers, they encounter Americans with guns.
3. We're training a generation of fighting men, and women, in the art and science of urban, counter-insurrgent warfare. In Iraq and in Afganistan. Every year we get better at it, and, along the way, kill a bunch of people who need killing.
The only thing "hanging out to dry," or at risk of that, is our political and popular will to prevail. We are our own worst enemies Mr/Ms Harris.
As I write this, FOX news is all excited about one Israeli helicopter going down with one KIA. Big breaking news....bla bla bla. Our media people no long understand war.
