A limited objective for Israel in this war.

a. It should be complete disarming of Hizbollah and the extention of control all over Lebanon by the Lebanese govt. and the Lebanese army.

b. elimination of the influence of Iran and Syria from the internal body politic of Lebanon.

If the war is ended without Hezbollah being disramed or the continued Syrian/Iranian interference in Lebanon, then all the conflict would be in vain.
