Is this War about wining?

I really doubt that Israel could win this war without having to annihilate the whole Lebanese Shiite population. I am afraid that Israel will end up doing just that and without getting into disarming Hezbollah. This opinion is taking into account that if the International community manages to release the two soldiers with the help of the Siniora government, a ceasefire will be established. Lebanon and the Lebanese people would have been effectively destroyed and Hezbollah will still be holding on to its weapons.

This is no war that is targeted against Hezbollah; this war is targeted against a whole nation and that nation's livelihood. I think that we all felt into the trap of trying to dehumanize the Islamists, while keeping a blind eye to the fact that their dehumanization will eventually dehumanize a whole people and lead to their destruction.
