Thank you for your interesting compilation of data, many of which were new to me.
Firstly, I do not understand what you mean by the following:
"6. Lebanon is one of the most populated countries in its archeological sites, in the world!!!" Please explain.
Another question is: Why do the Lebanese put up with Syria's constant predatory behavior? It's clear that Syria uses Lebanon as a "cash cow," exporting as much of it's wealth as they can manage. Why do Lebanese tolerate this foreign interference in their lives, commerce and destiny?
In 1978, I spent a couple of weeks with a Lebanese Christian mother and daughter at a YWCA in Rome, when Beirut was at the beginning of the end of its preeminence as the primary financial center and "Paris of the East," and Iran was beginning to go up in smoke. The father and sons had remained in Lebanon and the daughter took her mother to doctors and safety in Italy, after the mother had suffered a nervous breakdown worrying about her grown children and watching the home, business and life she [Italian born] and her Lebanese husband had spent their lifetime to build, go up in smoke with the rockets that were raining down on Beirut. At that time, MORE than 40% of Lebanon was Christian and Lebanon was considered to be the "Christian" country, Israel the "Jewish," Jordan was "Palestine" and the rest of the N/ME arab Muslim ruled; however, as time went by, just as in every other country in the Near and Middle East, muslims have demonstrated that they are absolutely intolerant - and utterly incapable of and unfit to live in peace with anyone even slightly different than their own particular "flavor the month," even other "muslim flavors."
While I truly appreciate the data, just WHAT do you suggest we DO with it, besides mourn the death and decline of an old and great nation and the subjugation of her people by subversion and invasion from outside? Shall we all sit by as Iran and Syria use Hizbullah to wage war on Israel and Western Civilization from Lebanese soil? Must we worry about archaeological sites [or civilians for that matter] if they are being used as cover for missile launchings and the waging of war? ma
