Michael's frustration is palpable

Dear Dr Pipes, In almost ten years of writing on this forum, I hardly ever reply to another reader directly. So I will not respond to Michael either.

That said, Michael's frustration at my message is palpable.

I will continue to stand by my principle that polite but brutally honest criticism of Islam is exactly what is needed to change Islam. And, Islam must change.

Finally, I repeat. Eloquence is a subjective term and nothing can be called 'most eloquent'. And, nothing that recommends merciless murders of the opponents even during a war can be called eloquent. Human need to get and give mercy.

And, yes, Muslims need to do critical examination of what they believe in. Grandma's testimony and circular logic won't work.
