1. The Quranic text was written in what is called رسم القران or رسم المصحف. And this is the CONSONANTAL text of the Qur'an and not unlike Syriac texts (your great Mufasereen tell us that the Arabic alphabet is derived from Syriac alphabet)

And this consonantal text lacked the dots, the short vowels fatha damma kasra etc.., hamza, shadda, many alif letters are missing, letters that did not exist in the Semitic alphabets in general and the Syriac alphabet in particular and problematic letters the likes of the cluster of ذ ظ ز and if you read al-Tabari in Arabic you will discover that he was editing words and not just the dots but also رسم القران which means he was corrupting the text. I can provide you with examples if you wish. However you will be wasting your time if you do not know Arabic grammar.

And this is why the very old question by al-mufasereen was: رسم المصحف هل هو توقيفي ام اجتهادي

To make it simple, can Muslim EDIT the consonantal text and the reason is no one was able to read the consonantal text and the logical decision was the text should be edited so Muslims can read and understand what the text is saying.

Here is an example of the word The Women by using Syriac alphabet in a Garshouni texs: ܐܠܢܣܐ or al-Nisa it is very clear. However, if you switch to the same word in Arabic rasm it would be النسا minus the dot in the letter nuun and have no meaning. This is what al-Tabari was dealing with and to add insult to injury the Quranic text is "Text with no context." So when I hear the likes of Zakir Naik or Ahmad Deedat telling us that not a single word in the Quranic text has been changed! It is a big fat lie. They are blatant liars

So your so called god's rasm or his is: النسا

And it is edited by any shish kabab you want to add. Do you get it?

And ... Syriac is Middle Aramaic and most foreign words in the Qur'an are Syriac words.
