Our dear Matthew who had zero clue about العهدة العمرية الشروط العمرية and the bogus claim that Omar is mentioned in a "corrupted" bookReader comment on item: Israel Has a War to Win Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Feb 8, 2022 at 06:48 Dear readers, This is a footnote and it is beyond our dear Matthew al-tablighee whose Hindu ancestors were brutalized by the Muslim invaders of India and yes I will provide you with links to texts in Arabic. The good news is most of the information is written in modern Arabic. This should be easy if you use googletranslate To remind the readers: Our dear Matthew al-tablighee had no idea about العهدة العمرية الشروط العمرية. He provided us with a single line from Tafsir al-Tabari of Q22:40 (which is a confused and confusing verse not unusual in the Qur'an) and he mentions a certain Ibn Khueiz who is quoted as saying not to destroy Christian churches. However, he had no idea that this is العهدة العمرية الشروط العمرية So what is العهدة العمرية الشروط العمرية? It is The Pact of Omar and the Prerequisites of such Pact. Who is Omar? He is supposedly the 3rd Caliph. We do have any extant information about him from the 7th century, but plenty of information starting in the late second and 3rd century of Islam. Did he even exist? Only Allahu A'lam. However, he is supposed to be the Caliph that was able to invade and occupy Jerusalem (Known at the time as Aelia Capitoline) so this would be dated around 634-644 AD Omar is called عمر الفاروق or Omar al-Faruq, very strange title because the word الفاروق (from the root F-R-Q) is supposed to be The Redeemer (Patricia Crone). So the story in the Islamic sources tell us that Omar and his army invaded Palestine and entered Jerusalem in 637 AD (as usual in Islamic literary sources the authors never agree on dates) and he was riding a donkey and entered through the gate of the city just like the arrival of the King (of the Jews?). And as usual Muslims checked the Bible and found a verse written by Prophet Zakaria where the author describes the arrival of a king (of the Jews?) to Jerusalem and he will enter the city riding a donkey and he will dispense justice. Check this link http://al-qatrah.net/an179 This is not unlike the bogus claim that we hear from Muslims these days that Muhammad is mentioned in the book of Isiah 42. My question to Muslims: The Bible is a "corrupted" book" Right? Why do you quote a corrupted book to prove your point? We will never get an answer. Now we are told that Omar was very much into justice and this is why he wrote العهدة العمرية (which is not extant and it only appears later on in al-Tabari's books) and its prerequisites Here is an Islamic sanitized version of the Pact of Omar and its prerequisites https://sotor.com/%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%88%D8%B7-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%87%D8%AF%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 And here is a critical examination by a Christian Arab of the meaning and implications of العهدة العمرية الشروط العمرية on Christians in the Middle East since then and it has not been pleasant. An example would be: Christians can have their churches but they cannot repair them or expand them. And we all know that with time structures like church would need repairs or will collapse. So much for Omar and his justice. Our dear Matthew: Why do you like to embarrass yourself? Care to explain?
