What is the real reason for Islamist Awakening or Rise of Militant Islam ???

Dear Dan ,

I would like to express my gratitude for the great & courageous work you are doing.I have gone through your articles and forum , its excellent. From last few years we have seen that a section of muslims have gone mad and are engaged in murdering non muslims mercilessly in every continent. Most hijackers , murderers , Terrorists are muslims and they enjoy a good support from their communities. Every religion have some right wing people and extremists , but whats wrong with muslims , they are everywhere with the same calls for voilence and mass murder. What is the real reason for Islamist Awakening or Rise of Militant Islam ..........

1) Is it from the teachings of Quran ?

2) Is it from the nature of Islam ?

3) Is it from the extreme interpretation of Hadis & Islamic Religious Literature ?

4) Is it from the 164 Jihadi verses of Quran ?

5) Is it due to Islamic education in Islamic seminaries ?

6) Is it due to hatred preached by Mullahs in mosques during Friday prayers ?

7) Is it due to Saudi Petro Dollars ?

8) Is it spontaneous reaction to US Presence in Gulf or well organised World Movement ?

9) Is it due to population explosion in Muslims & exponential growth in their numbers ?

10) Is it due to Global ambitions of Islamic Leadership to Islamise the World ?

11) Is it the Whole Islamic Society of over 1 Billion followers or a small portion of it ?

12) Is it the ancient religion hijacked by few fanatics or Is it the real nature of Islam surfacing again in new violent form ?

Please suggest the real reasons and the ways to defend democracies from the wrath of Militant Islam .
