The truth really must scare you!Reader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by Peter Hall (Australia), Nov 14, 2011 at 23:16 Firstly In Australia, education is not only free, but it is compulsory. Also with many industries, there are huge labour shortages. So the lack of employment has nothing to do with opportunity or education. The Stats for Christian Lebanese are much closer to the rest of the population. Saying the Lebanese are the best educated in the middle east region is not setting the standards very high BTW, we are hardly talking about part of the world known for intelligence or high levels of education are we? How many Universities are in the top 500 are from Muslim majority countries? No, the problem is that the middle eastern and Lebanese Muslims, given the same opportunities for education and employment as their fellow immigrant Christian Lebanese, choose not to work and not to be educated. Even the recent Afghan Muslims immigrants which arrived here much more recently, have far higher levels of employment than their middle eastern Muslim Brothers! So when you remove the discrimination excuse for their being dependent on Government hand outs, the higher levels of criminal activity and the lower standard of living, the only factor that stands out is Islam. The only conclusion, based on the facts
