An Answer-Reader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Nov 28, 2011 at 18:41 Torah, Neviim, and Kethuvim and the Brit Hadassah are all part and parcel of a completed revelation of the WORD of the LORD-of course it is to be believed, and I have faith in Yeshua HaMashiach that He has validated all of His WORD to me for my study and completion in Him. In the context of the children of the LORD executing a judgment of the LORD against a barbaric society in order to purge a land filled with the atrocities of the worshippers of the false deities, conducted in a time where a knowledge of the Almighty God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob was nowhere to be found: yes, they did follow the LORD: but note, not completely. Does that mean that in order to follow Yeshua HaMashiach and His commandment to preach the Gospel and baptize that Christians are to 'conquer' the world? Most assuredly not: His commandment is to preach the Gospel in His love. Now your assertion of the anti-Christian activities in the Middle Ages done in blasphemous contradiction to the command of Yeshua, even to the attacking of Jerusalem during the crusades, is, by my understanding of the Holy Bible, correct. By that same perception, the issues of the crusades as they manifest themselves to day is because people are not holding fast to the intent of what Yeshua HaMashiach said, and it is not due to translational error, but to not obeying what Yeshua said. But take it a step further, if they have not been preaching the Gospel and allowed a different gospel to be preached to the everlasting detriment of humanity, whose fault is that? Is it Yeshua's fault that mankind does not seek His truth and commits atrocities? Is it Yeshua's fault that having proved to the Jewish authorities of His authenticity as the Messiah that they had Him put to death in fulfillment of the prophecies? And if we acknowledge that the revelation of the LORD is to be protected by Him to those who believe in Him, how is it that we would doubt that Yeshua is who He says He is. He declares He has all authority over all things-think about which human translator (remembering most Hebrew Scripture was written by Jewish believers) would accord that kind of authority to Yeshua, then paying for it with his life. Rome played right along with the religious authorities in trying to exterminate the disciples of Yeshua; and yet it is here today, in fulfillment of the Torah, Neviim, and Kethuvim and the Brit Hadassah.
