SYRIAC, SYRIAC, SYRIACReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by Ben Othman (Malaysia), Jun 1, 2012 at 02:51 My Qibti friend, Amin Riaz has taken the trouble to explain to you that Arabic is a Semitic language and stems from the same language family as Arahmiac, Ibrani, Nabtean, Syriac. It surprises me that a "man of letters", brave enough to discuss Arabic grammar--eg Qilbah, Qiblah ?? Taa Marbutah ?( which many Muslim well versed in Quranic Arabic just simply cannot help laughing at your foolishness ) cannot understand such simple straightforward explanation OR is it because words such as Semitic, Ibrani are "Greek words to you" ? Have you ever heard of Sam-the son of Noah? Let me enlighten you; his descendants are the semites whose languages are Semitic.Of course, Semites have similar sounding words, quite similar language structures, but the Arabic we have now are the most advanced of all them, surpassing Ibrani ,Syriac, Nabateans etc. As Amin wrote, nobody claims that Arabic has no foreign words, yes , there are but they have been Arabized and they are for all intent and purpose Arabic words. Have you heard of alcohol ? It's origin is Arabic but it is an English word. The same goes for 'Amok' it originates from Malay but it is also your English master's word.Television, it originates from USA but now it is used by every language of the world. From what I have read, not only your charade as an expert on Arabic grammar has been cruelly exposed by Amin but he has also exposed your deceptive ways. You seemed to want to emulate an infamous tactic by Goebbels the Nazi; that is to deceive people with lies and more lies , until those lies can be accepted as truth. You keep on posting and posting repetitive allegations already proven wrong in the hope that someONE wil swallow your bait.Forget it, it does not work. Your highlighting " Syriac, Syriac, Syriac" in all your postings received my response thus; "If you can prove it , which I doubt it, SO WHAT ? ) Or if you can prove it ( I am very sceptical because of your proven inadequacies as exposed by Amin) then you have to prove your implied intention that Al Quran is copied from Syriac. That is very very very unlikely too, because you could not even differentiate a "dayn" from a"deen " and above all, Al Quran is from God. Anyway, the door is still wide open for you.Accept the Truth, accept Islam.Accept your Fitrah ( don't forget to vocalise the"h" ) OK it's like this-- Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
