so many questions left unansweredReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), Nov 30, 2011 at 07:16 Mr Slayhy, frustrated in his failed attempts to convince any readers that islam has any efficacy at all in their quest for truth, writes: "Now that you had enough time to slander, cure Islam, Muhammad and the Holy Quran ..." Those damned Infidels - persistent aren't they? "...Let me introduce to you the Islam that everyone should follow.." You then proceed not to tell the reader! Is it Wahhabism, Shia, Sunni, Sufism etc etc? v Or are they all wrong - and it's your own special version you've developed? "The pure, the clean the way to paradise Islam," One day , Mr Slayhy MIGHT wake up and see paradise is experiencing Now with a completely open clear mind. "...Way far away from the filth that your tongue brought forth.." He means criticism = filth. "Wether you are Kafir or not, it is time for you to listen to logic, not to the rubbish you and others brought forth.." i.e. Mr Slayhy prefers his own rubbish - and , believing it to be true, naturally follows the human impluse and wants to share it. "....The only way to salvation is Islam,..." But how would you REALLY know, Mr. Slayhy?? You've lived in the muslim bubble all your life - your surroundings everything you do - the bulk of what you hear - reinforces that particular meme. You've sincerely investigated no other. Because you've started with the mindset that you already have 'perfection' in your cult's teachings. And also because your society does worse than frown upon people who leave islam and follow another philosophy or religion. You've spouted the usual cliches - Koran is perfect, Mo is perfect, no more 'prophet's after Mo , infidels don't know, every one is a muslim - they just don't know it... etc etc Explain that last one again please - muslims have to recite the 'shahada' don't they? Do you seriously think , given what they've seen of islam since 9/11 that any sane person could possibly do that (unless they were under duress of course )? Actually Mr Slayhy - what if I told you that everyone is Buddhist - they've just forgotten their true Buddha nature? You'd feel insulted wouldn't you? They have not recognised the Kingdom of heaven within (realm of higher consciousness). The irony for you is that the most devoted muslims (those you decry as not being on the right path) are completely steeped in ignorance - but, like mental patients - fully believe their delusion of the external Allah , Al Burak, the aim of the world caliphate, 'infidels', their own self importance and all the trappings and rites and rituals of arab-centric islam to be the sole 'truth'. In fact It is a statue made of ice sitting in the sun. So fragile. Doomed to melt away. Hence the severe over-the-top , uniquely muslim reactions by its adherents to any criticism of it from external parties. Reminiscent of a certain fable: "A vain Emperor who cares for nothing but his appearance and attire hires two tailors who are really swindlers that promise him the finest suit of clothes from a fabric invisible to anyone who is unfit for his position or "just hopelessly stupid". The Emperor cannot see the cloth himself, but pretends that he can for fear of appearing unfit for his position; his ministers do the same. When the swindlers report that the suit is finished, they mime dressing him and the Emperor then marches in procession before his subjects, who play along with the pretense. Suddenly, a child in the crowd, too young to understand the desirability of keeping up the pretense, blurts out that the Emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is taken up by others. The Emperor cringes, suspecting the assertion is true, but holds himself up proudly and continues the procession, deciding never to be so vain again and to take his position more seriously. So - back to the point. Has Mr Slayhy seriously taken onboard any other religion of philosophy? Has he explored altered states of consciousness? Has he experienced complete stillness and clarity of mind for example? Could he converse on the finer points of any other religion? To proffer the ridiculous idea that retrograde 'Islam is the only way for your salvation' suggests the very concept of Self is lost on him. ".....you are all doomed in the ressurection day ....." Us and them? A narrow little egoic world where one can never see people are fundamentally connected. Mr Slayhy - learn to live fully in the prsent moment before you even begin to offer advice about any possible future. "if you keep you filthy sinister ways..." Mr Slayhy should examine his conversations with people here - does he note anything truly 'sinister' - other than quite valid criticism of islamic beliefs and attitudes? And the effects in the world of those beliefs and attitudes? "...Islam is the only way for your salvation, so you better listen and read from the proper sources not hate monger sources like yourself..." Why does Mr Slayhy perceive criticism as hate? Do muslims need people to hate? (Apart from Jews?) Is Mr Slayhy familiar with that famous childhood idiom - 'sticks and stones will break my bones - but words will never hurt me'? What are the 'proper sources' - your imams? When speaking of 'sinister' - you would be hard pressed to outdo these guys. The 'proper source' is and always has been within our own being, Mr Slayhy.
