Dissertations of TruthReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Nov 30, 2011 at 17:05 Pondering the phrase, 'the Truth about Islam,' is a process fraught with circumstances of the problem: where to begin. Dependent upon whose source 'appears' most reliable, analysis of just that aspect can take a lifetime. In reality, there are no shortcuts, even if one were do nothing but compile evidences of predecessor scholars and researchers. A primary issue is creditability. Your provision of a list of 'proofs' of the 'Islamic Prophets' is similar to others who have made the same assertions as you, either by independent study or by collecting from the studies of others. There is no doubt in my mind that the corroboration of that written with that of observation is well documented and can be viewed as an impressive collaborative work. But, what does it prove? Modern science is a progressive body of observation, analysis and assumptions used to make sense of a world that still defies a complete definition of the physical realm; and it is my belief that anyone who say otherwise cannot prove his/her claim completely. Science in one aspect, such as the 'evolutionary' processes claim to be part and parcel of our reality still do not have the necessary evidences to prove that they are 100 percent correct. From that perspective, I do not need their proofs to manage my understanding of my existence. In the obverse, what do I need to manage my understanding of my existence? What material evidence do I need to wake up in the morning and proceed through the courses of my daily activities and reach the end of the day thankful that I was actually able to make the end of the day? Here is one lesson I learned: I am not guaranteed the end of the day. Having spent my lifetime so far in the realities of life and death and more than half that time doing so under the influences of the Holy Spirit of the Holy Bible, the Truth I understand presented itself in the form of facing death and not knowing what the outcome was going to be; except that I put my faith and trust in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach to see me through a medical procedure that required stopping my physical heart. It was Yeshua HaMashiach whose Name was on my lips and none other that brought me to this point. My heart beats for Him still. That is my Truth. Spiritually, I recognized that my spiritual deficiencies as described by the Holy Bible were described completely by the words of Yeshua HaMashiach, that having been born into a spiritually deficient human environment put me at odds with all issues of life and death; and that without Yeshua HaMashiach, I would never survive without Him. Out of His love for me He took my place on the cross to redeem me from my sin debt and prepared the means and the way for me to live this life in Him and be ready when the time approaches to be called to Him from this mortal life. That is my truth. The reality is that proof of Almighty God does not depend upon proving His existence by physical evidences of this world, though examining the physical realm does show us His creativity. Instead it is His Word which created the world in which we live that gives it its dimension and depth and place in time: by His WORD it was defined. So as long as humanist interpretations of the physical realties are given more deference than to what He says, truth of a human form can be very compelling; that is until that reality reaches its final challenge and He requires an accounting for what we thought of Him and what He really said when we had the chance. That is His Truth. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
