Enlightenment of Prophetic TimesReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jan 3, 2012 at 15:48 In the first glance, appreciation for the 'sensible' appellation is taken as a gesture of amicability, if not outright friendship. I have no need to curse anyone, not the least of the reasons is that I have no such power, either by self indulgence or by delegation by the One Whom I serve. To do so is contraindicative to the commandments given by Yeshua HaMashiach. Vengeance, (whether by threat or by action, if any to be served), is reserved to Him it is reserved; and there is no Biblical declarative that Christians are to measure out any. Yeshua HaMashiach, on the cross at the end of the last acts by His human action, forgave. Since I am not in His class but I am His servant, I can do no less. In actuality, my faith and the understanding of Who Jesus Christ is in my life does not need the crutch of casting aspersions against another human being, even that of the Islamic Prophet. I have no such need because I would instead share Jesus Christ in His ability to love and to save mankind from its sins. One need only read about the life of the King David, a man called beloved of Almighty God and blessed with being in the Messianic line to the throne (which, by the way, is shortly about to have its prominence revealed in the next set of circumstances surrounding Israel) to understand that those things you mention about the Islamic Prophet are merely representations of his being human. Christ expects me to exceed those issues of temporal humanity through His love. I do, however, take issue with the Islamic Prophet's representation of Jesus Christ, of his believing the aspersions cast about Jesus Christ while as the Son of man He ministered His Father's will as the Son of Almighty God, the Holy One of Israel. These did not cease while He was being crucified, nor after He was placed into the tomb, and even after He arose from the dead in His declaration of forgiveness of my sins and the sins of those who believe in Him by faith. Next, true Christianity was NEVER about torture-those in history who have tortured under the threat of 'Christianesque' antipathies NEVER had the authority of Christ to do so. On the contrary, Christianity, if properly witnessed, is about life; and abundant life is promised to those whose faith is measured in the blessings of belief. And there is freedom in that belief. And lastly, I have been inundated with materials about Islam, about being Muslim (many acquaintances now and in the past have been Muslim), have read many .net sources about what you have presented (typically avoiding those whose biases are tending to exaggerate), yet none of which could provide the necessity of healing my heart before becoming saved and never providing any truth that could detract from the incomparable relationship of love and peace as provided by my Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ. As a result, Islam, just as religious as any other religion, never gave me the path to salvation: only Believing in Jesus Christ did. And that is what all true propehcy leads to.
