Deconstucting al-fatiha and yum al-deen or is it dainReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Apr 14, 2012 at 14:46 More Quranic disasters and this time the word deen in surat al-fatiha where we are told that Allah is either maaliki or is it maliki yum al-deen. Tablighees tell us that the word deen really means religion right our dear Amin? well guess what? it is not Now if we turn to al-Tabari we discover that he is more interested in the disaster MLK and is it maaliki or malki! As for the word deen or is it dain as you shall see he tells us that it means { يَوْم الدِّين } قَالَ : يَوْم حِسَاب الْخَلَائِق هُوَ يَوْم الْقِيَامَة , يَدِينهُمْ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ or the day of accounting ledinahum bi a3malahum or accounting for their loan instigated by their actions! Nothing about the claim that the Arabic word deen means religion and why is that our dear Amin? Even forget that common sense dictates that Quranic theology is based on the fact that Allah micromanges every thing so if I'm a proud kafir then we can only blame Allah! right our dear Amin? Now let us turn to Q9:29 or ayat al-jizya aka the mafia tax verse al-Tabari tell us that deen or is it dain al-haq really means { وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّه وَرَسُوله وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِين الْحَقّ } يَقُول : وَلَا يُطِيعُونَ اللَّه طَاعَة الْحَقّ . يَعْنِي : أَنَّهُمْ لَا يُطِيعُونَ طَاعَة أَهْل الْإِسْلَام or those that do not obey allah with the truth it means those that do not follow the people of Islam What a disaster: and forget the Quranic logic of al-qada' wa al-qadr or predestination or the Allah micromanges our lives and there is no free will But what is most strange al-Tabari does not tell us that the word deen really means religion right our dear Amin? So what does the word deen or دين mean? any guesses our dear Amin? Well let me help you this word was another linguistic puzzle as we do have the Arabic construct دِيْنٌ which we are told it means profession of faith v. debt which you can also find in the Qur'an or what was read as dain or دًيْنٌ of and in the case of Q9:29 he tells us that this word means the faith that Abul Qasim aka Muhammad was a prophet. What a disaster Again some masorites believed that the word deen (faith and ? to judge) is not an Arabic word as there is really no grammatical construct that would fit with such word And indeed if we turn to Syriac and Hebrew then we get the real meaning of this word deen and it is So guess what? the word is ܕܝܢܐ or deena compare Arabic دِين (dīn) and Hebrew דִּין (dîn). now guess what? the word Syriac word dina means Justice, judgment sentence verdict lawsuit dispute contention law rule costom manner reason cause criterion account credit collection Oh I forgot and dayyan is judge So you tell us our dear Amin is Allah planning to file a lawsuit against us kuffar or is he in the process of collecting his share of the loot? So next time you dish out tablighee BS that we really know what the Qur'an really says and that the word deen means religion then think again What a disaster Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
