The roots of islam and the Arabic language part twoReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jan 11, 2012 at 07:04 Our dear Amin who needs to stick to Urdu is not aware that spoken Arabic which is a living language and Quranic/Classical Arabic is a language that no one speaks not back then or now How come you did not know that? Oh it must be the "ancient" Arab that you did study during earning your three imaginary degrees right? So let us check what your Arab masters would write a similar sentence and the source of such sentence is from this little Quranic gem Let us see what your Allah says in Arabic وجعل القمر فيهن نورا وجعل الشمس سراجا Oh let me fix this poor Quranic Arabic it should be وجعل القمر فيهن نور وجعل الشمس سراج For the readers the alifs at the end of both words nur and sarag/saraj is really not Arabic but Arabized Syriac Let us see what your Allah says in Arabic وجعل القمر فيهن نورا وجعل الشمس سراجا Oh let me fix this poor Quranic Arabic it should be وجعل القمر فيهن نور وجعل الشمس سراج Now let us see how would today's Arabs write such sentence incorporating both words and the source is the above aya and all you need to do is google it and here is an example لأنها محل لنور الأئمة ، والأئمة نور وسراج لأن الطالبين للهداية Or blah....blah and the imams are NUR WA SARAJ How come they do not write it as Nura(n) wa Saraja(n) and where is the alif at the end? Do you know why it does not exist? because the above Quranic quote is poor Arabic but again this is what islam is all about And it is written this way because this is what the real Arabic language is all about the real Arabic a language that is alive and well and not the poor Quranic Arabic that no one seems to speak and at the end you are quoting Arabic languages rules that no one seems to follow and why is that our dear Amin whose Hindu ancetors were brutalized by Islam? you tell us Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
