Really- Jesus In the Bible is His Proof, Not YoursReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Dec 12, 2011 at 16:46 We have covered many points of our differing beliefs and maybe you still think you have a better understanding of the Biblical things; yet you do not demonstrate the spiritual capacity necessary to discern the realities of the Holy Bible, your demonstration instead encompassing the teachings of those who do not yet understand who Yeshua HaMashiach says He really is. Be that as it may; I'll take the words and works of Jesus Christ anytime on Sunday and every day thereafter until the hereafter. You cannot take away the imperative nature of who Jesus Christ is. That having been said, we'll take one more look at your attempt at Biblical scholarship; prefacing it with the admonition that it looks more like the Jesus Seminar flight of interpretation without the spiritual influences necessary to get it right. The irony of choosing Mark's Gospel (among the others), which speaks of Christ's intersection of His divine nature with putting on His vesture of humanity in order to fulfill a number of the prophetic passages concerning His mission here on earth, not the least of which is Isaiah 53 and Isaiah 61. John (the baptizer) prefaces the ministry of Jesus in fulfillment of Isaiah 40:3. (Mark 5:7) We read of Cephas' confession of identifying Jesus as the Christ, the anointed of the Father, which precipitates the following prediction of Jesus in Mark 8:31-the Son of man must suffer many things as mentioned by Daniel 7:13 and again Isaiah 53. You would have done better for yourself and caused less damage to your cause of demeaning the Personhood of Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ that you should have left well enough alone in trying to use the Bible against itself, a tactic well employed by the Adversary. Every verse you have quoted and then tried some dissuading argument served no purpose than to repeat all the ancient attempts at defamation of Jesus Christ. They did not work then; they will not alter the purposes of Jesus Christ now. In that, you would have done well to observe a more compelling attribute of the power of Jesus Christ; of His power to forgive sins. Mark 2 dwells upon that very aspect, that the Son of man HAS the power to do so, because of His being the Son of Almighty God. Even the demons recognize their inability to contradict Who He is and what his power is on earth as well as in heaven. Hear the testimony of the 'legionnaire' demoniac, obeying Jesus' command implicitly. As believers, we should not merely do as much as being obedient, but our obedience should be with joy and love in rushing to honor Jesu with our lives. As I told you before, Jesus Christ paid my sin debt and I'll continue to take His word over anyone else's as to who He is, and what He has done and will continue to do. If you really want answers (of which I think your questions are for debate only, like those others who think as you do in this forum), ask Jesus to open the scripture as you read them; do so honestly and I would venture you'll get a shock. After that there is no further necessity to be circling around the truth; I've made my choice and committed my life to Jesus Christ: now the question is for you to review your choices while there is still time. I have nothing further to offer you than to have you look more at the Biblical Jesus and see if you will let Him in.
