Fixing Quranic Arabic and more Syriac in the Qur'an and what a disasterReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Feb 18, 2012 at 08:29 So our dear Amin is learing Hebrew! Mazel Tov again. Hello: you should learn real Arabic first our dear Amin so while we are waiting for our dear Amin to tell us Allah claims that he is bigger and the question is: bigger than what? Oh so here is another Quranic disaster and it is Q25:18 where it says وكانوا قوما بورا And do you remember our dear Amin if we have an alif at the end of a word in the Qur'an when it is not supposed to be (as in Qurana 3arabiyya) then think Syriac and the word bura(n) is indeed a strange word and this is what al-Tabari who seems to have no clue about what this strange word really means and he tells us that it means { وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا بُورًا } قَالَ : هُمْ الَّذِينَ لَا خَيْر فِيهِمْ wa kanu qawma(n) bura(n) qal hum al-ladhina la khayr feehum or those that have no worth which is far from the truth He had no clue but this very cultured Persian must have been horrified about the strange language in the book of Allah So where does the word bura come from? You guessed it Syriac! Oh my evidence? no other than the Peshitta 2 Corinthians 11:6 Peshitta(i) 6 ܐܦܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܘܪܐ ܐܢܐ ܒܡܠܬܝ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܒܝܕܥܬܝ ܐܠܐ ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܐܬܓܠܝܢ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܀ And the third word from the right is bura and it is highlighted and here is the Arabic translation so you our dear Amin do not tell us that we (oh darn it I keep using the word we oh well) kuffar make things up 2 Corinthians 11:6 Arabic(i) 6 وان كنت عاميا في الكلام فلست في العلم بل نحن في كل شيء ظاهرون لكم بين الجميع. and the words 3amiyya(n) fi al-kalam is really what bura really means or uncultured in speach So now back to the Qur'an and وكانوا قوما بورا in real Arabic وكانوا قوم غير متعلمين Or they were uncultured (in speach) people And even if we leave the Syro-Arabic as is it should be وكانوا قومً بورً What a disaster more Syriac in the Qur'an and now the aya makes sense So next time you dish out the tablighee Bs that we really know what the Qur'an really says then think again Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
