Lincoln (Canada), Jun 26, 2007 at 19:45 When the likes of dissipated are receiving honours from Queen Elizabeth (Paul McCartney and Elton John come to mind), Salman Rushdie receiving an honour is the same as receiving anything that is overly diluted. I don't share Mr. Pipes' view of Mr. Rushdie, because I see Salman Rushdie as being a hack. Be that as it may, those who threaten activities which are reprehensible to the West - they will be held accountable for their bombast and actions. Because homicide bombings are as out of bounds as suttee, for those of us who have the greatest familiarity with the fusion of the cultures of Athens, Jerusalem and Rome.
