To Syed Rafey HusainReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Jens Bay (Denmark), Sep 24, 2007 at 08:12 I think you have got me wrong. I don't intend to execute anybody. This is the muslim way. But you insult Christianity, Jesus and all 2 billion Christians. And according to your own rules, you must be executed for that crime. I ask you if you are prepared to be executed for your belief. And if you will find it just and fair. But no, I will not execute you for your blasphemy. It seems like you think, that you have a right – a religious right to highjack Jesus, and change him into something he is not. You deny all basic teachings of Christianity and call it respect. If I say, Mohammad never had one revelation from God. Mohammad only talked to Gabriel, who was Satan in disguise. But Mohammad was a great warlord, and I respect him as the greatest conman ever. Will you call that respect. This is very similar to what you do to Jesus, and Christianity. And you have the nerve to call it respect. It is blasphemy. And according to your own rules, you must be executed. I would say, that what I say about Mohammad is more in harmony with Koran and Hadith, than what you muslims say about Jesus is in harmony with the Bible. Mohammad in ignorance totally twisted the message of the Bible. You give a link and ask me to read about how reasonable the crucifiction of Jesus appear to you. Why should I?. It is not up to you to decide what are insults to Christianity and what are not. Just take the cartoons from Jyllandsposten 2 years ago. Jyllandsposten felt, that they were in their good right. Muslims felt otherwise, and many people were killed, and flags and embassies were burnt. So you understand, it is not up to you to define what is blasphemy against the Christian God. You hurt religous feelings, and thats a crime, worth capital punishment. But it is up to you to stop the ongoing muslim mocking of Christianity. Started by Mohammad and continued by you. Or be executed according to your own rules. Best regards Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
