To Susan: Know who you voice for Bishop Nazir-Ali. Put your weight so that justice prevailReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Syed Rafey Husain (Pakistan), Jul 3, 2007 at 07:09 "Numerous Christians and others have been victimised by the blasphemy law and, it has also been widely used to silence opposition, prevent free speech and to settle scores," Michael Nazir Ali, a former Karachi priest, said. According to Ali, who is now working as a bishop in Rochester, various human rights organisations have reported an increase in Christians' arrest on blasphemy charges. Susan, you voice for Bishop Nazir-Ali because he is a convert from Islam. Or because he is from the evangelical wing, (evangelical and catholic) of the Anglican Church? Or and this is a big Or "Justice prevail in Pakistan and around the world". Check your heart! Do not support every non-Muslim blindly. He is the most outspoken critique of Muslims by a church leader, but like most outspoken people, he seems to have no solution. No message for humanity but still a Bishop? I do not agree with him that the two main causes of the present situation, rising extremism in world are fundamentalist imams and material on the internet. http://www.jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/013920.php To me the only main cause of more and more souls becoming reactive around the world is described in detail in the post http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/101721 Syed Rafey Husain Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
