A nice cosy arrangment between God and his MessengerReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Plato (United Arab Emirates), Jul 15, 2007 at 04:57 Sayed you quote Henrik and wrote to him: "---There Muhammad trades his God (possibly Ar-Rahman anyway) for power, sex and money within the Quraysh community. The marriage to Aisha is part of this deal. Above statement points to four issues related to Mohammad (Peace be upon him): 1- Traded for Power Do you think these are in fact a truth? Provide reference.---" Since all the possible references are from tainted sources like the Sira and Hadiths you can always dispute them. But from the Koran you can see all of this happening. There is no trade with Quraish but Allah trades with the Rasool through his verses giving him power, a varied sex life, money and marriages aplenty in exchange for making belief in Him supreme. Power 004.080 YUSUFALI: He who obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah: But if any turn away, We have not sent thee to watch over their (evil deeds). 61:9 He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it conqueror of all religion however much idolaters may be averse 003.085 If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good). There is also the incident, if it can be believed, when the Prophet tells (threatens) Allah that if his band is defeated at Badr then there will be no more believers in Him. Allah seems to have been so intimidated by this that he granted victory to his 300 over the larger enemy! Sex 4:20 And if ye wish to exchange one wife for another and ye have given unto one of them a sum of money (however great), take nothing from it. Would ye take it by the way of calumny and open wrong ? 033.037 YUSUFALI: Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled. Muslims pretend that this verse was to show that wives of biological sons only cannot be married after their divorce and adopted sons wives can married after divorce!!!! The Koran gives special dispensation to the Prophet to marry any number of women apart from keeping slave women. His marriage to Safiya, Rehana could only have been for sex. His accepting Maria the slave girl as a gift could only have been for sex. Money 8:041 YUSUFALI: And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire (in war), a fifth share is assigned to Allah,- and to the Messenger, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer,- if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing,- the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For Allah hath power over all things. 008.069 YUSUFALI: But (now) enjoy what ye took in war, lawful and good: but fear Allah: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. Marriage with Ayesha: The only Koranic refernce to Ayesha that I know of is the one that resulted because of Ayesha's escapade with her necklace. But Muslims believe that this marriage was to cement his relationship with the powerful Abu Bakr rather than because of any lust as they feel ashamed of his marriage to a child. Surely a kind of trade. warm regards Plato : Verses allow the taking of booty and part of it reserved for the Prophet (some of which he distributed to his followers including women and slaves).: Allah reveals these verses to allow sexual licence to the Prophet:: Is not the shahada all about power by joining Mohammed's name with Allah's? The joining is done in a very clever manner. There is only one god and that's god's rasool is Mohammed. And every Muslim has to repeat it to be considered a Muslim. Saying there is only one god is not sufficient you must bring in Mohammed to complete the sahada. The rasool as representative of god is all powerful.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
