hats off to England for braveryReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Phil Greend (Canada), Aug 13, 2007 at 12:14 The good people of England have made a decision. A very brave choice to stand up for what is right. The islamofacists don't want Rushdie to have his knighthood, this is reason enough to give it to him on a silver platter. At each and every turn we must not fail to stand up to radical islam. Rushdie wrote a book that muslims thought was an insult to islam and the prophet mohammed. The islamofacists called openly for his death , and sadly there was silence from good muslims. This was a great chance for good muslims to speak out against extremism and hate , they did not , instead they spoke out against Rushdie saying he was wrong for insulting the prophet mohammed. The ironic thing is if anyone wanted to insult the " prophet mohammed " would be not to write a book of fiction but rather the truth. The so called prophet mohammed at age 53 had sex with a 9 year old child. The so called prophet mohammed owned black slaves. It was brave of the British people and Queen personaly , because the islamofacists will try to strike at England for standing up for what is right.
