To Leigh, which portion of Quran you are referring toReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Syed Rafey Husain (Pakistan), Jul 16, 2007 at 08:09 "Syed- where do you get your information from?" I got this idea that all Prophets asked to fear Allah and follow Prophet from Quran. As far as I can see, it is most suitable model when you are addressing and surrendering to realities larger than life for a new comer. Later when a person started to follow teachings and becomes a true believer, state of obedience in love take place. "Mohammad/Allah started off saying he was only a warner and then became a being equal to Allah, at least according to the Quran" Dear Leigh, which portion of Quran you are referring to? "I conclude that Allah created shirk in the form of obedience to Mohammad (apart from Adam as you know -Allah got the angels to worship Adam. Naughty Iblis refused to worship Adam according to the Quran". This all seems to be inline with Quran. "(seem unfair to Iblis)". No it is not. Iblis (one of Jinn) had a power to decide and he chose not to obey direct commands of Allah after seeing him and in front of him. Why did Allah do this when he apparently doesnt' like shirk. What an inconsistent being. Allah is all just, all seeing and all hearing. Allah is merciful and most compassionate on His creations. He created you and me. Allah is the lord of the day of Judgement and He will show us one day what we did in this worldly life. My love to you.
