to Leonid on Western characterReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by AS (India), Jul 2, 2007 at 12:44 sadly you hav esummed up the situation. the other problem is that, that Brit shook his chin for various misplaced reasons. a false sense of guilt that the western world has oppressed muslim world, and other leftist ideologies. but these muslims who are so obsessed with concept of power and islamic 'rule' that they take this as a sign of defeat of the western male infront of them and the power of islam. that adds to the trouble. read reports that even Vladimir Putin who is otherwise tough on various issues for strange inexplicable reasons is so lenient with these islamo nazis! i just dont understand this phenomenon. ...
