To Syed Rafey: The conspiracy of lower case alphabets!Reader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Plato (United Arab Emirates), Jul 16, 2007 at 07:54 Syed Rafey, I visited your blog (http://blog.360.yahoo.com/syedrafey?l=1&u=5&mx=73&lmt=5) and found something different from the personality you project here. At DanielPipes you come on as a peacenik wanting to spread love and kindness all around. But your blog gives another picture. This is the great discovery that you have breathlessly reported on your blog: >I had a personal experience that just refreshed my belief on Quran. Alhamdolliah. I went on in a discussion with Jews and at last they started to trim/tamper sentences to create different meaning like their ancestor's habit to change Taurah. Ths verse you have quoted, 2:75, reveals Allah's helplessness. How could mere humans and that too the Jews tamper with His words. Did the Jews have the power to change God's words? If they had then Allah gave the power to them and He should not complain. If they did not they could not have changed Allah's words. Has not Allah admitted that his words are not immutable with this verse?? Allah weakens his position further by stating that they tamper with His words after they understand it. Remember the Jews are (or were until the Muslims came along) Allah's chosen people. What kind of God is He Who knows that His chosen people will tamper with His words and yet allows them to do so? One word: HELPLESS. Can such a God be in charge of the Universe?? What about the tampering Muslims have done to the original Koran by putting in the diacritical marks? What about all the thousands of fabricated hadiths about the Prophet? The Jews were not responsible. The Muslims themselves did it. Why did not Allah warn you that Muslims like the Jews would be up to the same tricks? You have discovered another Jewish conspiracy and some kind of vindication of the Koran in susan's lower case letters and a partly quoted sentence though the meaning of the sentence does not change. You keep on about trying to end reactive attitudes. What is it you have done on your blog but react mindlessly to something innocuous. How do you explain this reaction of yours? I thought you were different but you have the typical Muslim mindset. Seeing conspiracies where none exist. Muslim and Islam have been spelled without capitals. A conspiracy by a Jew. Why Jews? You just know that susan is a Jew? Who else but a Jew could indulge in such disrespect of Islam (small case letters). The Koran tells you that Jews are always up to such tricks. Just as the prophet knew that the Jews of Medina were all conspirators out to destroy him, only, he managed to destroy all the Jews of Arabia. No surprise that because Allah was always relaying to him what the Jews, His once favourite people, were up to! That raises the question if Allah knew the Jews were going to create trouble for his favourite Rasool why did he have them as his chosen people to begin with? His ability to see the future is in question. Did susan tell you or anyone else here that she is Jewish. In case you have not noticed she spells her own and all other proper nouns using the lower case. But Islam and Muslims are so unique that you want everyone else to use capitals to show what a capital religion it is? Why don't you charge us all here with conspiracy to defame your prophet for not using the full form of PBUH everytime your Rasool is mentioned. Do you realise how weary and irritating it is for us to read PBUH attached to Mohammed like a surname? Why do you have to call for peace upon him with every breath. Are you afraid that without such supplication from his followers he may have to answer for what he did to the Jews of Arabia? And you show up your almost abject hankering after Arab leadership. You wrote on your blog: >'Consider our Saudi brothers. And why they could lead all matters of Muslims including Lal Masjid. The Saudis have so many blessings yet they remain, despite all their wealth, backward in their morals, thinking and attitudes as you have yourself put it in that song of yours. Why does Islam wipe out self respect from those who follow it among non-Arabs and have them pleading for Arabs to lead them? You are a Pakistani, don't you have capable people in your nation to lead you. It is pathetic reading you plead with Saudis who have heard the language of the Koran in their mothers' wombs to tell you what to do. You had Mohenjodaro and Harappa. You had Taxila. You had Gandhara. You are (or your forebears were) heir to the Vedic seers. You had Allama Iqbal. Are you Pakistanis not also blessed by all these things and people? Or is this hankering for Arab leadership because you consider yourself the progeny of Mohammed Bin Qasim and his invading army and not real sons and daughters of the soil of Pakistan. Your pleading with the Saudis also tells us that despite hearing the word of Allah even while in their womb the Saudis have become corrupt, self-indulgent and drunk on oil-wealth. Don't you see, Sayed, the Koran's message is incomprehensible and incapable of being understood even by the people to whom and in whose language it was revealed. Remember the Saudis are as intelligent and understanding as you or me yet they have been unable to understand a Book which claims to be easy to understand. What does that tell you. Whose fault is it, the Book's or the Saudis? Think on that Sayed. As you wished susan I too wish you will see some light after you think that over. You also have this little message about some deaths (murders?). >Just a sadness in heart and nothing else. Can't they sit. Can't they talk and resolve. Both were Muslims. You are sad because some Muslims seem to have killed each other. You are sad because they were Muslims. What if they had been Jews? Why do you call Allah's blessings only upon Muslims? We know, because Allah accepts only Muslims into his paradise. You can't possibly ask Allah to take in unbelievers, however good they were like Nelson Mandela or Gandhi or Mother Teresa, into his Jana-tul-Firdos. That would pollute the pure Islamic atmosphere of eternal virgins, rivers of wine and boys like pearls, near Allah. Your peacenik image is in tatters Sayed Rafey.
