THE WEST WILL NEVER 'RECONSIDER' FREEDOMReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Oliver (United States), Jul 1, 2007 at 13:10 I'm sorry Syed, the West will never reconsider FREEDOM - it is our most precious possession. Human freedom is the very 'life's breath' of our earthly existence - it was given to us by the Almighty in the Garden of Eden and He has never rescinded the gift - as a matter of fact every gift and the call of God are irrevocable. Like the gift of the Holy Land (Canaan) to the descendants of Abraham, ISAAC and Jacob (Israel). Perhaps Islam should reconsider SUBMISSION - it's history has proven it to be 'the kiss of death' to all who have encounted it and have resisted - even those who have embraced it are encouraged to seek death rather than life in this existance - your Imams teach you to love death rather than life. What god would demand submission of its followers and encouraged them to seek death rather than life? Think about it! May the true and living God (The Almighty), bless you and enlighten you Syed Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
