For Simon and who really created Allah? Sira pages 571-572Reader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jul 22, 2007 at 16:49 Hi Simon This is a story in the sira or the biography of Abul Qasim aka Muhammad and it is based on the Aristotelian problem where we are told that the Jews of Mecca asked Muhammad the following question: "if Allah is responsible for this creation then who really created Allah?' Now Muhammad's command of Greek logic was not the best and he lost his temper, and as expected Gabriel arrives with the answer and it is Q112 (this is called sabab al-nuzul or the reason for revelation) where it says: " qul huwa allahu ahad allahu al-ssamad lam yalidu walam yuladu wa lam yakunu lahu kaffun ahad" Or: Say He Allah is one, the eternal Allah, He begot none and he was not begotten. No one is equal to him. Notice that those that have no clue about such story from the sira read Q112 as anti-Trinity and it might be but this is not the real reason of revelation. Now back to the Jews of Mecca: yes they did not buy his flawed (logically that is) answer and they were not impressed at all with such and for this we now have the so called Occam's razor and the KISS principle or keep it simple stupid, where the question is who really created God? Well the unimpressed Jews of Mecca then asked Muhammad: "but how did Allah do it? What limbs did he use?" Muhammad with his poor logic got mad again and Gabriel arrived with another revelation (it seems that the Jews of mecca kept Allah and Gabriel and Muhammad really busy) and we are told that Q39:67 was revealed and it says: "and they have estimated Allah falsely for at the resurection He shall grasp the entire earth and heavens folded in his hand." Again the Jews were not impressed with such poor and illogical answer and they still wanted to know which hand is that, right or left. We will never know the answer. Muhammad? He left believing that he indeed defeated the Jews and their profound logic. As for Allah and Gabriel? we do not know their reaction to those daring Jews. We can only guess! So the reality is if Allah created this creation then who really created Allah is evidence that the idea of monotheism is bogus and it cannot be proven by simple logic. So why do Muslims in this blog do not get it or even are aware of it? I have no answer to this except the poor Muslim education Now you have the answer Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
