Never the twain shall meetReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Oliver (United States), Jul 1, 2007 at 21:40 Julie - there is no chance this side of hell-fire that islam will join with the secular West - they are simply diametrically opposed entities - there can never be a meeting of the minds - or any form of compromise - NEVER THE TWAIN SHALL MEET. And the sooner the West 'gets it' the sooner we'll be able to deal with the ruthless enemy called islam.
