Islam teaches no bloodshed neither any injusticeReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Faran Hussain (Pakistan), Jul 3, 2007 at 14:11 Egyptian Christian, I think that all you said was because some hardships that your family has to go through while living in a muslim country. Maybe you are right in that muslims are being injustice with you people, but does it mean that it is because of the teachings of Quran or Islam. Well, this cant be the criteria you see, American lobby consist of christians & jews and they are are responsible for killing huge quantities of muslims, does that make christianity or Judaism any evil. NO, Religions (especialy the divine religions Islam, Christinaity & Judaism) are from God but the people practicing them are doing their job well. You said that the verse of Quran are evil, i guess you havent gone through it, & if you had then pls do quote some verses which you think are evil. I agree there are verses that demands of killing the infidels who are a threat, but that does not mean to just go and kill, in fact if you kindly go thru the islamic history at the time of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be upon him, there was no war from muslims side, unless the war was pushed by the non-muslims at that time ,& even then it was a custom from muslim side not to torture any opponent. And yes if you speak of times after the death of Prophet Peace be upon him, i agree that there were times when wars were pushed by the muslims, but that is not in line with the teachings of islam. Some muslim rulers used the spirit of the warriors for thier own political use. Anyways if like to disscuss more of this topic u are welcome to discuss, and if dare you do come prepared with some references from Quran or Islamic Teachings to prove your point of it being evil. As for Salman Rushdie, he said things against our prophet so we are totally against him. And the same goes for those who say wrong & evil things about any of the prophets (including Adam, Noah, Ibrahim, Moses & Jesus) Waiting for your reply Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
