To Syed Rafey: The Landlord system is just another form of submission.Reader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Plato (United Arab Emirates), Jul 21, 2007 at 04:41 Syed Rafey, you wrote: >>Dear Plato, in Pakistan Land Lord system has corrupted the whole place. Don't you voice for land lord system in Pakistan also? Dear Plato, sincereity to human beings is what religion is all about.<< Syed, Why do you restrict it to the landlord system? The communists in Russia and China abolished the landlord system but did justice prevail in those countries? The landlord system is merely a reflection of and a result of dictatorial governments. Which is what you have in Pakistan. In how many democratic countries do you see it prevail. In neighbouring democratic India they have all but eradicated it. And why do you think you have it in your country. Look around you, you find the same dictatorial governments in almost all countries that call themselves Islamic. Have you ever wondered why that is so? Let me give you some hints. Does not Islam mean submission. Does not Islam teach you to submit to some dictatorial God without question whatever humiliation or sacrifice He may demand. Is it any surprise that Muslims are attuned psychologically to being submissive to authority that is imposed on them. As a devout Muslim you must be aware of shahi hadiths that demand obedience to the Muslim ruler of the day. Syed Rafey you have your religion to blame for the Land Lord system that you lament. If as you say sincerety to human beings is what religion is about, why is not Allah sincere to humans? Why does he create a world full of injustices (like your land lord system).Since he claims to be all powerful why does he allow injustice to prevail, especially in his beloved Muslim countries? Is this sincerety on Allah's part? Do these two verses below show Allah's sincerety towards humans? 017.016 YUSUFALI: When We decide to destroy a population, We (first) send a definite order to those among them who are given the good things of this life and yet transgress; so that the word is proved true against them: then (it is) We destroy them utterly. God sometimes decides to destroy whole populations utterly and for this he sends an order to them (to do what, Syed Rafey). Is this sincerety towards humans? 006.107 YUSUFALI: If it had been Allah's plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs. This means that it was Allah's plan that they take false gods (can you put any other meaning to this Syed Rafey?). Who else but to those who believe in false gods should the Apostle's preaching be directed? Is this sincerety towards humans? 006.115 YUSUFALI: The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all. If this verse is true then why is it claimed that other scriptures which He had revealed previously are corrupted or lost? Why is only the Arabic Koran protected? Is this sincerety towards all humans? regards Plato Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
