To Sayed Rafey: What use is a guide that cannot guide?Reader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Plato (United Arab Emirates), Jul 23, 2007 at 06:52 >>There is no Islamic country exists on this planet that follows teachings of Quran and Sunnah of Prophet. And if you don't agree, name one Islamic country on this planet which has no banking system or interest (that is highly prohibited) in Islam.<< I agree with you totally. And Sayed Rafey, you have just admitted that Islam is a failure as a guide for humans. The all-powerful, all-knowing Allah is incapable of giving guidance which humans can follow? Either that or his guidance is impractical and cannot be followed. The divine guidance for all mankind could not take a toehold in the world for 1400 years. Like all Muslims you will claim that during time of the so-called rightly-guided Caliphs there was true Islamic rule. This is another plea that falls flat. How could divinely guided nations rot and disappear from the planet never to be seen for 1300 years and more? You find Allah's religion is unable to provide any guidance to Muslim nations to excel or give justice, so conveniently you say they are not true Islamic nations. This is exactly what communists used to say about the failed communist countries, true communism was never practiced anywhere. If Islam cannot guide the masses of Muslims in Muslim countries towards pure Islamic rule what is there to be said about this guide? What use is a guide that cannot guide?
