To Susan: Incorrect information, why there is Injustice in PakistanReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Syed Rafey Husain (Pakistan), Jul 2, 2007 at 09:56 "rape is allowed in pakistan as in the totality of muslim-majority countries. Your hoodod laws (you probably heard about it, that your president wanted to abolish but your clerics rule over your fake president) require for a woman to prove she's been raped 4 by muslim men, thats why many women are jailed, because their testimony is worth zero and they cannot prove they are victims. " Dear Susan, you are right hoodod laws are not applicable in current circumstances when all courts in Pakistan are not inline with Islamic laws. And I pray Pakistan soon becomes a pure Islamic state where everyone is surrendered to All Mighty and people look for life here after and everyone will be protected alike. Your statement, clerics rule over your fake president, is partially true. There is a struggle for power between the two which I think is good to have. "Your hoodod laws require for a woman to prove she's been raped 4 by muslim men" It looks it is a wrong statement. Perhaps you wanted to say that four witnesses are required if woman is raped? "thats why many women are jailed, because their testimony is worth zero and they cannot prove they are victims." Susan, again this is baseless. This is not the case. Do you have any victims that you know about? I tell you what, there are other wide spread injustices in Pakistan backed by Land Lords living and governing Pakistan. Voice for, if you can, about the Pakistan's Land Lord system (major cause of corruption and injustice) that India and Bangladesh have already get rid of long ago. My love to you.
