To brother OliverReader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone Submitted by Raqib Ahmed Asif (Bangladesh), Jul 5, 2007 at 01:34 That is what I was trying to explian to my brother John; Jesus and Isa is the same. I wonder how can you look for the word "Isa" in your english Bible. Brother you see, hebrew and arabic are sister language it sound somewhat was similar. In Arabic we greet, "As salamu alaikum" in hebrew we greet "Shaloam malo kum". And both the words within the invited comma means the same. Surely his (Jesus) disciple didnot called him "Jesus". Your reply made it very easy for me to reply. You wrote, "Iesous" if you remember, you said that it is a Greek name. I want to ask you do you pronounce J while uttering "Iesous". In our translation of Holy Qur'an we write Jesus, but all muslims in the world knows Jesus means "Hazrat Isa". We write it because we want to convey that Jesus is also our Prophet. Not Son of God as Christian world beleives. For the sake of Argument, I agree that Jehovah is the name of Almighty. Because Allah said in the Glorious Qur'an."SAY:"CALL UPON ALLAH, OR CALL UPON RAHMAN; BY WHATEVER NAME YE CALL UPON HIM; FOR HI BELONG THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NAMES". If Jehovah is the name of God Almighty, and if the 27 books of New Testament were inspired by Him, then it is an anomaly of the highest order, that He (Jehovah) signally failed to have His own Name recorded in the New Testament and the Christian addition to the Jewish Bible. Our Christian brethen claims that they have in their possession over 24 thousands so called "originals" of their Holy Writtings in Greek Language, and yet not a single parchment has "Jehovah" written in it. The world christian is suffereing from J sickness. Where you people find something in I and Y, you simply replace it with J. Sincerely Yours.
