Western Liberal Defeatism

Another excellent analysis by Mr. Pipes! However, I have to say that I disagree with the optimistic sentiment expressed in the final paragraph.

I feel that the western liberal mindset is now so entrenched that even a super-massive WMD attack, say around 500,000 deaths, would merely cause the people of the west to fall to their knees and beg to be punished, by the poor, downtrodden Muslims, for centuries of so-called "imperialism" and for the "crime" of participating in centuries of Christianity. "Please kill us and our families", they will cry out to the holy executioners of Islam; "we deserve, desire and require your just, cleansing punishments".
