According to our common prophet, Moses, "god" is "I AM"Reader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by kman (United States), Dec 27, 2008 at 22:35 "Allah" is not the name God went by until Muhammad started borrowing it from the local moon goddess. You say we have the Old Testament in common. Where in the Old Testament does the term "Allah" get used? God didn't want any term used for him at all because every term confines the whole concept of who God is. That is why Jesus used the same term for himself - "I AM". You use no argument at all. Your funny book says "whatever" therefore, it is? Donald Duck said Uncle Scrooge was a good man. Therefore I worship Scrooge McDuck? Does any of this reasoning ring a bell in your head? You have a book that says "........". So? I could write a book to say anything at all. Does that make it so?? You keep taking side steps to the issue. Canadians did whatever. Islam every where on the planet commits terrible atrocities. Why do you think you can get us to myopically focus on one nation when the atrocities of Islam are rampant everywhere? You claim to worship a concept that doesn't exist except in the God of Jesus Christ whose words Muhammad butchered and distorted to mangle into anything Muhammad felt like believing one moment to the next. How many times do we have to point out to you, the Quran changes its tune from earlier writings of "peace" to later ones that justify violence of any kind. According to your own laws, the latter part of the Quran takes presedence over the earlier. This is the problem with Islam. Any one of you can follow whatever suits you because some part of the Quran says its okeydokey. It then contradicts itself later to side with some other Muslim who believes something else entirely. How convenient for you all. The few Christians that are allowed to survive in Muslim nations call God Allah - so. The concept is still very different. How much torture centuries ago did it take to get Christians to use the same term for God that you use? Is that part of the process to convince everyone that the God is the same one? The book says god is Allah. Ok, I'm going to write a book that says god is Mickey Mouse. Will you now worship Mickey Mouse? The Quran batstardizes everything that God ever said and distorts it to mean something else entirely.
